LOOM (for Anni Albers) – print series, 2018

LOOM (for Anni Albers) is a print series that is closely related to a 100 minute video loop. Each print was made with minimalist work constraints: a single strand of wool as raw material, a 3D cuboid play/work area, plus time, light and math. The prints were made concurrently with the video, and correspond to precise moments in the moving image work, but are independent works printed on Kodak Endura Premier Metallic photo print paper. The relationship between the prints and video shows the charged relationship between time-based and plastic art forms.
